What is the purpose of health insurance?

Health insurance protects against financial loss in the event of an unexpected illness or accident by covering expenses for providers and the unforeseen costs of emergency and surgical bills. The term providers are used when describing the doctor, hospital, pharmacy, and others that treat insured individuals. Insurance plans have a monthly premium which is the responsibility of the insured.

We help individual insured to see if they qualify for any tax credits or additional subsidies through the Health Insurance Marketplace. If no tax credits are available, we will take them direct to the carrier for coverage.  Health plans can have an annual deductible, co-pays and co-insurance that are the insureds share responsibility.

Vision insurance is one of the most asked for ancillary products next to dental insurance. It is extremely important that individuals take care of their eyes. As an employer, you can offer this vital benefit to all of your employees.

We have been offering this coverage through our company for over 14 years. We have seen significant growth. Our plans offer separate copays for exam and material.  We also offer several options for the amount of coverage you wish to offer your employees. All of our plans cover an annual exam. Depending on the plan chosen, your employees can receive lenses or frames ever year or every two years.

Please contact our team direct or take a moment to complete a quote request. We look forward to being of service to you and your company.

October 15 through December 7, 2020 is the yearly period when you may enroll or change your Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part D Plan. Outside the Open Enrollment Period, most people will have limited opportunities to make changes to their coverage.

Changes you make to your plan during this six week period will take effect January 1, 2021.

Contact us today to review your plan and coverage needs for the 2021 coverage year. We will help validate that your current doctors and prescriptions are still being covered in the new coverage year. If changes need to be made, we will guide you though the process.

What is Medicare?

Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people who are 65 or older, or on Medicare disability. There are different parts to Medicare. The different parts of Medicare help cover specific services: Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) covers inpatient hospital stays, care in a skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some home health care. Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers certain doctors' services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services. Medicare Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage) helps cover the cost of prescription drugs (including many recommended shots or vaccines).

Why purchase secondary coverage with Medicare?

Secondary insurance pays claims after your Medicare insurance. A Medicare secondary coverage can be either a Medicare Supplement Plan or a Medicare Advantage Plan. A Medicare Supplement plan works along side Medicare and needs a Part D stand-alone drug plan. Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private carriers who run Parts A, B, and D for Medicare. Often referred to as Part C.
